Extroversion is an attractive personality style, but we’ve made it an oppressive norm that most of us think we need to adapt to. It is sometimes very difficult for an introvert to meet this standard. It’s appealing to be cozy and open at first glance, but this isn’t for everyone and can feel like a lot of pressure.
In this publication, I let the reader experience what the extroverted norm can feel like for an introverted person. The website is very overwhelming and you can’t read the text until you read it out loud and let your voice be heard. With this, you experience how the pressure sometimes feels when you try to adapt to the extroverted norm. If you don’t let your voice be heard and you don’t talk, you can’t rise above the noise (the extroverted norm) and you are not visible and therefore neither can the text.
To constantly rise above the noise (the extroverted norm) of the website can be quite tiring and annoying. When the pressure to keep talking becomes too much for you, click on the icon indicated on the website. This icon refers to the book ‘be quiet’. You can read this part of the publication in peace and take a moment to be ready to rise above the noise and noise of the website.
